InHome services align within the care plan for the client. Where no care plan is pre-existing, we use an interdisciplinary team of professionals to determine what is best for the client along with input from the actual client. Instead of going through the motion of basic services, we educate and engage our clients to fully understand their desires and work with them for the best outcome. We are extremely passionate about the outcomes we can achieve with each new client.
Massage therapy is one of the oldest healthcare practices known. References to massage therapy are found in ancient Chinese medical texts written 1000 BC.
Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues and consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement to parts of the body.
These techniques affect the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. The basic philosophy of massage therapy embraces the concept of vis Medicatrix naturae , which means "aiding the ability of the body to heal itself."
Before a treatment, the Registered Massage Therapist will propose a personalized treatment plan based on an initial assessment and health history. The goals within the plan can range from aiding to reduce stress, relax muscles, gain or maintain range of motion, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, and promote overall health and wellness. This can be applied to both acute and chronic conditions.
Each Registered Massage Therapist will provide everything required for the massage therapy appointment. Massages are performed using professional draping at all times to ensure comfort and privacy.
