Gabriela is a physiotherapist with experience in a variety of settings, who applies most recent knowledge about health promotion, rehabilitation, and exercise into her treatment sessions. She has a BSc in Physiotherapy, a MSc in Exercise Science, and is completing a Geriatric Care Certificate.
Gabriela uses education and exercise as tools to improve or maintain function for clients experiencing challenges from neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, MS, Parkinson’s disease, Muscular Dystrophy, and dementia. With a holistic approach to client care, Gabriela understands the importance of social supports. Thus, she works with clients and their family/loved ones to optimize care, quality of life, and participation in meaningful life roles. She also embraces change and creativity into helping her clients who are dealing with a new diagnosis or a chronic condition to learn new ways to move and achieve their functional goals.
Besides being a physiotherapist, Gabriela is a mom, a wife, an educator, and an adventurer, who loves to be active.
