Conditions Our Vestibular Physiotherapy Treats in Edmonton

Vestibular conditions affect balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. Our Edmonton physiotherapists assess each condition carefully and create treatment plans designed to reduce symptoms and improve stability.

BENIGN PAROXYSMALl POSITIONAL VERTIGO (BPPV)

This common vestibular disorder causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness. Physiotherapy can help reposition particles in the ear that cause vertigo and provide relief.

LABYRINTHITIS

This inner ear problem results in inflammation that can lead to vertigo, hearing loss, and difficulty balancing. Physiotherapy helps by reducing symptoms and improving balance.

VESTIBULAR NEURONITIS

Vestibular Neuronitis is similar to labyrinthitis but without hearing loss. Our treatment focuses on restoring balance and decreasing dizziness through specific exercises.

MENIERE’S DISEASE

Meniere’s disease is a condition that affects the inner ear and leads to vertigo attacks, hearing loss, and tinnitus. Our therapists use tailored exercises to help manage symptoms and improve daily function.

VESTIBULAR MIGRAINE

Vestibular migraines cause dizziness and vertigo without the classic migraine headache. Physiotherapy helps manage these symptoms effectively.

AGE-RELATED DIZZINESS AND IMBALANCE

As we age, our vestibular function may decline. Physiotherapy helps strengthen the body’s balance and coordination mechanisms, reducing the risk of falls.

How Our Process Works

Our mobile physiotherapy service is designed to simplify your access to necessary treatment. We recognize that managing a painful condition can be challenging, so we handle everything—from the initial assessment to ongoing support—to minimize stress and ensure your convenience.

Booking an appointment with InHome is simple! You can either call us directly or visit our website to request your service at a time that suits you best.

Our team aims to respond to each inquiry within 1 business day. During the follow-up, a client support team member will ask questions to better grasp your needs and address any inquiries about our services. We'll also guide you through what to anticipate during your initial visit and what preparations are necessary.

Our mobile physiotherapy services are tailored for your convenience, delivering treatment directly to you—whether at your home, independent living facility, or workplace. This eliminates the necessity for you to commute to a clinic, ensuring easier access to the treatment you require.

How Vestibular Physical Therapy Can Help

Vestibular physiotherapy focuses on identifying the cause of dizziness and balance challenges, then creating a treatment plan that supports steady improvement.

Physiotherapy can help you:

  • Reduce episodes of dizziness and vertigo
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Increase confidence with walking and head movement
  • Retrain the balance system through targeted exercises
  • Manage symptoms more effectively at home
  • Lower the risk of falls.

Your physiotherapist will also provide education and practical strategies to help you understand your symptoms and reduce the likelihood of future episodes. Receiving care at home allows treatment to take place in a familiar, comfortable environment.

At InHome Physiotherapy Solutions, our therapists combine clinical knowledge with a compassionate approach. If you are ready to improve your balance and reduce dizziness, contact our team to book your vestibular physiotherapy appointment.

Sidney has been working with my 95 year old bed bound father since the Fall of 2025 .Sidney is very competent , yet insightful and wise even though she is still at a youthful age.She is able to motivate my Dad to try his bestat increasing his flexibility and strength despite being mindful of his limitations ( dad suffered permanent paralysis on his left side from polio when he was about 8 years old) . Sidney is also very kind and very encouraging and engaging my Dad in his therapy .

Cindy wonderful. She is very kind and patient with my husband who is very weak and sore. He is maintaining his ability to get out of bed and to walk and transfer. This allows me to keep him at home and to maintain his quality of life. After several visits my husband’s mobility has really improved! Better than we hoped for. She’s wonderful.
