A few exercises you can do at home, to recover from any basic automobile accident are:

Neck Exercise

  • Sit straight in a chair with your back and shoulders erect, relax your body and breathe deeply.
  • Gently lower your ear to your shoulder then gently lower to the opposite shoulder.
  • Tuck your chin into your chest then raise your head erect.
  • Do not rock your head back to the shoulders as this hyper stretches the neck muscles.
  • Do these exercises 10 times, with 3 repetitions.


Muscle exercises without Weights

  • If you don’t have weights, feel free to use cans of soup.
  • Sit in a chair without arms with your arms to the sides.
  • Relax your body and breathe deeply.
  • Lift the cans out to the sides, arms shoulder height.
  • Lower your arms slowly.
  • Do this 10 times with 3 repetitions.


Exercise for your arms

  • Scissor your arms before your chest, one arm over then the next arm over, keeping the arms at shoulder height.
  • Keep your elbows slightly bent and do not bring your arms behind your body.
  • Do this 10 times with 3 repetitions.
